LOOKING FOR ANGELS

LOOKING FOR ANGELS

A Poem by SINDE
"

We want reason for life, why?

"
Our faces down,
Anxiety- a crown,
A glistening on our scalps

Pursuing purpose,
We count no loss
In employing misleading maps

Sanity's sought in morphine,
Our wants define our doctrine
Trying to fill up our empty gaps

Illumination's shroud
Makes us so proud
As we search for life's reason

Our souls burn in us
Our tongues- wild grass
Locking us in entangled prison

Illusion's our shrine,
Stuck in cloud nine,
We are looking for angels...

Great description and powerful statements made the reader think and raised new questions. We need help on the road of living. We do need Angels and kind people to give us direction. Thank you for the amazing poetry.

your descriptive verse is powerful in this poem..there is no reason for life except the joy of the experience..but we are inquisitive beings constantly searching for greater understanding..when somethings are always going to be out of our reach..thought provoking.

The force of reason driving our minds and hearts to search out something deeper... greater than simple existence... And you play with this concept, rolling it over, glancing back and forth across its face... and we are left to ponder this profound place..

So heartfelt, and thank you, this poem is great! Totally on level, and pure. I loved reading your words. They have a natural way of telling... I'm amused. There is no need to "quote" anything of you, Each sense, has it's own beauty...

We are not yet that which we may become.
We must reach far beyond our narrow confines
And we may feel the winds of angels wings caress our face, only then will we truely sing.

Deep poetic expression here, much enjoyed :O)
