Know your true worth

She was broken and hurt,

Enduring an excruciating pain.

She prayed,  to wipe him off her mind;

But her trials went in vain.

 

She felt devoid of a reason,

to get up, to get going.

Found some through her family

who always aided in her growing.

 

Wiping away tears from her own hands,

She stood up and set a goal.

Swallowed the cruel truth of the world,

She took her life in her control.

 

Transforming herself utterly

She found a new path to walk on,

Travelled, explored, met new people

Saw new days and new dawn.

 

Gaining the biggest lesson of her life

She became the practical one.

Quitted chasing the wrong 'options'

Because the right one won't run.

 

Diligently empowering herself,

She thrived very well;

Enjoyed her own company

Stopped waiting for 'charming' as well.

 

She now knows, whoever he is

will come at his own pace.

She is the one she needs right now,

She is the person of her days.
