NONE OTHER!

NONE OTHER!

A Poem by SHEEMA HUQ

None

Other!

Pristine blades of
sprucely earnest green,
uphold illustrious flora
of assimilated
scarlet-purple streams.
These potent herb plants,
crowned with ropey
buds of valiant mauve,
have emerged upon
the fiercely neglected
residental grove.

Tall, elegant, synchronised

clusters, advance foward

with harmonious lustre,
without a fuss or fluster.

Conforming regimentally with
every sporadic windy bluster
 Whoosh " Whoosh

That is, until the weather
permits again, a sedentary,
yet esteemed demeanour,
infusing pungently,

the much acclaimed,
indelibly resourceful,
medicinal muster,
of what has to be:

the skin tingling,

ornamental,

vivacious,

therapeutic

Lavender

and,

None

Other...

Some witchey herby reverence going on there. That garden feels very alive in my mind. More like running my hands over it with my eyes closed feeling the energy, smelling the smells, heaing the sounds of the other elements like the wind interecting with the plants. I really like the personification of the colours "spruceley earnest green" and "valiant mauve," ascribing symbolic qualities to energies represented by colour tones, like an Aura reading. You really have a way with words.

I'm not quite sure how to explain what I thought of this poem; I mean, it has bedazzled me beyond my known vocabulary. It is as if joy came to me once I had imagined this beautiful scene, but also this strange form of sorrow for them, and also a relaxing, soothing feel to it. You've written such a beautiful piece of poetry, I enjoyed every word of this. It was all cleverly done, beautifully crafted, and to top it all off, the ending was mind blowing, or at least in my opinion. Well done indeed!

quite the effect of enlarging the importance of measurement yet diminshing the galaxies. an unattainable vision growing , suggestive of mystery with no solution, the beautiful resource of life breathing without need for thought.
