HINTING AT THE DARKNESSA Poem by SHEEMA HUQProse PoetryMeasuring up to the outdoors; harsh, damp, with the vagaries of cold and an old oil lamp;
Hinting at the darkness, at what lays beneath
Tussling branches, waver and jerk, ahead of tumbling and twisting bedrocks. to which the trees, cling to their expansive appeal, as they start to reveal, their vociferous selves, in their early autumn wealth; yellows and oranges, converge, as rustics colours constantly emerge.
Hinting at the darkness, at what lays beneath
The scene becomes obscured, by wildflowers, variously abandoned, mushrooms stand immodestly, sulking berries look lost, some are prominent, others seems to hide, if so, who from ? - a charmless, anonymous boss? © 2013 SHEEMA HUQAuthor's Note
