NEWCOMER

Poem

Newcomer of 12 hrs,
7 mins and 8 secs,
a calm dawn beckons,
as I gently cradle thee,
your precious body, so,
delicate and wee, while
my hand becomes
damp, as you have
casually done a pee.

Ha ha. Brilliant. The poem like the child lulls you into the false sense of security and as you are busy adoring it does something gross on you. I love it. As a parent I can totally relate. Absolute classic. Im gonna be chuckling to myslef about this one all day.
