RAPACIOUS STROKES

Poem

     Rapacious Strokes

Nimble brush abandons track,

      art spews tensions hollow,

candle wax sprawls shallow,

 a tempered breeze is released,

knife delves into refilled pallet,

     divulging a fierce grief,

bruised from captivity,

     acrylic paint, mellow, matt,

devises a conspicuous attack.

Yes, I have a water color I used only a pallet knife on. I like to try different things.

Wow…loved the last two lines. Yet this action engenders a most elegant output .it is truly vibrant and scintillating with the flamboyant diction. Awesome write.

Thanks you so very much for dropping by and reviewing so generously, ATIBA SHEIKH, I believe that this poem has quite a serious content, it that I present some dramatic, prettified, artistic, examples of planned conflict, violence, an attack, safely on a canvas, when in fact, not addressing the 'cost' of these actions, in terms of losing lives..... well, these are some of my thoughts and I am pleased to hear from you thank you.

Wowow! I miss painting...and how I attack my canvass. I'm not surprised you're a painter, too. Writing is a literary art, so you can be into painting which is visual art, and perhaps in performing arts...

I might perhaps sound like I'm embarking on a war scene, as the writing indicates trouble of this kind, nonetheless, many thanks for such interesting comments and for this review. Yes I do paint, thought I am very out of practice and have until recently been very out of motivation as well, though I'm pleased to feedback that this pattern is changing for the better again, best wishes.

I heard creative cross-training is good for the writing. I sometimes play drums for a while before I hit the keyboard and it seems to work wonders in opening up that inner space.
