You know I'll enjoy these! Let me read again: first is sharp and clever quick.. sort of thing GBS might say today! Second: cynical but curls a fleeing smirk coz could be true! Third: that's the question even Einstein asked on p2561 in his Butter Flying treatise .. but then you knew that! Happens all the time.

It is physics really. The weight of the butter causes the toast to fall down face first..I suppose the only safe approach is to slice it into smaller squares and use a fork !!!

I have actually studied such thngs on my own. I tried testing the cat theory about always landing on their feet, but my wife at the time, (I am since widowed) did not approve any high altitude tests. I am sure our National Public Radio has done a show or two on the phenomenon...!
