Breezy, ethereal. Carried away on the currents, I want to keep drifiting; alas the poem must end. My heavy head comes crashing back to earth. But here I await once more the next delicious draft of your muse. My feet flap in the breeze. Could this be a metaphor for astral travel? With the archetypal gatekeeper Egyptian cat godess Bastet, (protector of women and children) watching carefully over the whole proceeding? We find it difficult to astral travel in this modern age. As adults our astral bodies are often too anchored down by the head.

The archetypes from which we draw as artists are more than mere imagination, they possess a literal energetic life and intelligence of thier own within the collective human conciousness. They announce themselves to us symbollically though the contents of our own subconcious mind (which exsists beyond the physical brain and is not limited in time or space) which is then translated through the creative impulses of the concious mind. These energetic intelligences communicate to us symbolically for very good reasons. They come to guide us and express aspects of our higher self. Bastet is trying to communicate something very important to you. you need to figure out what it is?

I can remember playing with dandelion seed heads as you describe. Did you also know the leaves can be eaten as greens, the blooms can be made into wine and the roots ground up, roasted and used as a coffee substitute? Dandelions are a very nutritious plant.

When I was a child, I always loved to blow dandelions, and make a wish....
your write just speaks this out, in your own unique artistic way.
Your ending speaks most for me, as it is a mystery where new things shall or will begin... Sheema, you're so good...

hello and big thanks my dear Elisa, I am so glad you liked this poem :0)
I was transported and hovered somewhere beautiful, quaint, vast, and troubled - all at once. I am positively thrilled to read a piece like this, and thank you for it!
A favourite

Hi there,
you loved it? I am really grateful Dr Wood
good of you to stop by
dandelions are fascinating..and yes, they blow away, much like most of my loves in the past...
and i don't think i caused them to blow away...but maybe i wasn't as agile as a feline..
oh well.
this poem is a nice snapshot of humans and nature colliding...and often nature loses.
