SCATTERED SHORTSA Poem by SHEEMA HUQA Collection Of ShortsORANGE (CAT, DECEASED, 2010) I don’t care much for nature She don’t care much for me I can be alone with a person I can be alone with a tree I am imperfect And so is my lover We both need the world and each other I love his hair, his lips, his gentle caress and I shall have nothing less.
Tea
Some
might have it milky
Some might have it sweet
Some like it luke warm
Some prefer it weak
Some take it with lemon
Some
drink it alone
Some like it really hot
Others
prefer it strong
But if you made me a cuppa today
I would unreservedly say,
“Ooh, lovely that’s made my blinking day”! A thought for You Is it true that you who grew from baby to man has
barely lived life beyond an
old pram? You never knew comfort, affection or joy You have never played with a single toy Is it true
that you at a tiny age were
transferred from your pram
to a cage… placed
with others in a grim and cold orphanage? It is true that you who was abandoned at
birth, exists as you do, on our planet earth. The Unstable Dog He sat on the grass He scratched his arse Paranoia, Paranoia,
Paranoia He growled with disgrace He wrecked the whole place Get a Lawyer, Get a Lawyer, Get a
