The Stones, the Blonde and the Warm Guinness

The Stones, the Blonde and the Warm Guinness

A Poem by Shane Patrick

Invited for sonnets and ale,
journey to Galway I set my sail!
Pour me a warm Guinness my friend,
restless and shattered my mind in need of a mend.
Bartender hand me my pint,
lay my weary head in her hands, I might!
Drink and read to me from Yeats and Frost,
Milton too oh please! Paradise Lost!
Blonde glow from her hair,
a laugh and a quiet stare.
We snicker and drink much to our delight,
and read of Shakespeare's divine "Twelfth Night".
Tonight is ours! Her warm embrace,
sets my mind at ease in Ireland’s finest place

I loved this poem. It is very clever. Sounds like the perfect way to spend an evening.
