Some Freedom

Some Freedom

A Poem by Sean
"

I have to admit that my mind was all over the place on this one

"

There's a certain freedom in self-destruction,

although not without its trappings.

Drugs, sex, violence,

an existence of chaos.

Prison, poverty, newspaper sheets,

and cardboard buildings.

Man's emergencies bring

a howling response from nature.

A general sense of unease

following discoveries of demise

of those despised beyond reason

and for reasons no longer valid.

All this did was damage me.
