A Simple Gust

A Simple Gust

A Poem by Sean
"

It seems that ll of my previous postings have disappeared, as far as I can see, so I guess I'll throw this one up here. I may have had it up here before, but I don't remember.

"

It's this theory of choice

of which I am uncertain.

What I do, or don't,

is done with full consent,

or within reason,

of the participating mind.

This thing I do, or don't.

This act of mine, a choice

reflecting inner voice and vibe.

Belief things will be better,

but maybe not.

Standing at the edge,

a ledge representing event,

or upcoming action,

and me, my own morality.

Barefoot, toes curl as fingers

holding tight to an unmade decision.

If knees bend, arms extend

and I leap to my destruction,

or retreat fully from the fall,

then all I did I chose.

Suppose the wind blows.
