Familiar Senses

Familiar Senses

A Poem by S.E.C.
"

A poem about a lost love...

"

My sight is gone,

My vision is blurred.

Sound is forgotten,

Mouth left unheard.

           Slight touch is missing,

           Hands feel bound.

Your scent still lies on your pillow,

But not for much longer around.

Taste has dulled beyond recognition,

Yet still somehow there.

Your memory lies in those familiar senses,

Places where your gone

i love the idea of this...smell is one of the strongest forms of memory... a smell can trigger a thought dating back to when you were a child that yo may have forgotten about..i think its amazing..but back to your poem i loved it, it flowed well and you were descriptive in how the smell lingers and reminds you of a lost love..i am not sure if this is personal or just imaginative but either way i would hope that you/character would learn to cope after the loss of a great love, because if you dont it will only bring you down...
