Crying DryA Poem by Sarah
Life is testing our love today
But my heart stays strong anyway Buttin' heads, opposite sides Not giving up, not saying good-bye It ain't worth draggin' out a fight It's best to let the day past by So we can work it out later tonight We'll get a-long just fine Some days are really hard for me to get through Theres no tellin' what goes on from dawn ?til dusk We share a hug and a grieving smile We go through the motions Crying dry, crying dry, crying dry We were playing around, having some fun You left too soon, our bucket list ain't done Best friends, partners in crime Not letting go, friends for life I'm checkin' into places by myself I miss you more than anyone else You'll be there, watching over me As I stumble along on my two left feet Some days are really hard for me to get through There?s no tellin' what goes on from dawn ?til dusk We share a hug and a grieving smile We go through the motions Crying dry, crying dry, crying dry Our farewell party was bittersweet We made a lot of good memories Neighbors in the cul-de-sac Not ready to go, everything's packed Last stop is filling up our truck Sometimes life takes us out of touch Moving to a new place is fun and scary It's the next chapter in my story Crying dry, crying dry, crying dry Crying dry, crying dry, crying dry © 2017 SarahAuthor's Note
