Some Love Isn't EternalA Poem by SamanthaDanielleThis is a silly "love" poem I wrote about my Kindle.I used to hate
you. You tried to
steal me Away from my
Beloved ink and paper. You were forced
on me as a gift. A
gift I never wanted. You were hidden Away for weeks, I refused to
look at you. Until the day
came for a trip. All of my prized
books, Left behind. Mom said “Bring your
Kindle,” And
slipped you into my bag. Thus began our
relationship, A fling of
sorts. Who knew you had
so much To offer? So many new
places to go? Narnia, London, Westeros, Paris “Real or not
real” " you didn’t care. I met your
friends, Old and new Dorian Gray, Alaska Young, Bilbo Baggins My hate turned
to admiration. But admiration changed
to guilt, And I came to my
senses. Cheater, Caught in the
moment. Once home, my
decision Was final. You must stay
behind. Although, I
adore you, You will never
replace My Beloved ink
and paper. © 2012 SamanthaDanielleAuthor's Note
