a wishA Poem by S.E. ConwayI wish when i walked in a room, or down the street men would look and smile thinking"what i bautiful woman" instead of turning away thinking "why did i look?" i wish girls who saw me thought "i wish i looked like her" instead of "i'm glad i'm not her" i wish when people wispered as i pass by "whats her secret" "where is she from" instead of "what happened?" "what went wrong?" i wish people saw a woman not a forgotten shell chopped hair mixed ragged complexion but proud things i do so well and the things i cary on my shoulders as accomplishments and rememberance i wish i was a woman who people saw and said to themselves "i wish i was her" © 2008 S.E.
