just another day

just another day

A Poem by S.E. Conway

just another day
with ordinary people
with secrets kept locked away
from ordinary eyes
real hair colors
vanished
real personalities forgotten
real truths real emotions
who would ever remember
who you were a year ago
who would dare to remember
what your nose was last summer
who would choose to remember
how many pounds you've lost
all people scam their way into beauty
hair like this
make up from here
clothes from there
the days of fakes are here
the day of truth and reliability
are gone
its just another day
to be someone else for a while
