lack luster forgiveness

this is for the contest the darkness

you confort me
you suround my being
there when i cry
there when i laugh
your beauty is astounding
things are shown differently in your light
things are seen as better or worse in your shadow
the things i've come to see in your regim
i become beautiful when you are around
when it is your time to shine
i am truly bound to you
when you leave
all is lost
all the luster of the night is forgotten
all the fun of the nightlife is surrendered to the jobs of the day
when at night there is peace
with you there are candles
and love
and lackluster forgiveness
for when you leave us for the hours of the day
to show how much we need you at night
the darkness makes us whole
to make us blind to easily forgotten flaws
