SONG: You're an apple to the coreA Poem by JC PireHaul away today, my friend don't carry me with you I've got a life I need to live and often so have you
With all your arms and rifle aims I'm one of them to kill I'm stuck between the bible and the twenty dollar bill
You're ship is docking, air and grace It sails away your sinking face My heart is broken to the brim and I'm stuck on both sides, of the bridge
There selling apples 'gain, my friend Straight out from the tree Should I love the one that does or the one whose drinking tea?
I'm a man and just a man Who barely sees his clothes They're the part, that's made in art And I'm the peasant shows
If ever did the bridge collapse I'd rid myself of sailor's maps and the stool that hold a wasteful cry Shall stage itself 'tween the ground, and the sky
One is sitting neatly in the aging cup of wine The other half is nearly done Cursing all of time
Be damned I be, the damned I see Whose tugging at my sleeve You left me when I'd close to die and left me new year's eve
Here I am to represent The everyman and malcontent Here I am to lie in bed I might as well since I'm, nearly dead
So haul away my suitcase and the blinds that keep me out I'll be beyond your door and beyond me any doubt
