REFLECTION

REFLECTION

A Poem by 914

I stand peering in at a glimpse of a man of whom I used to be,to a reflection caught in the mirror thats right before me. The years of fighting battles left to be won, only to be left with scars and broken  limbs in need of mending by some. A hollow shell of a man I see needing to put down his sword of which slayed so many lives right before him. To my King and country of a sacred  oath ive taken to protect and honor ,only to do  deeds that were sinister and unholy to me. I will now lie down my sword right before my God and walk in the footsteps of a man from Galilee....

Interesting.. I am not quite sure if using all caps is meant to be a statement of your poetry? But it does come off a little hard to read. But maybe that is just your style then it works!

Hmm with this poem I think of a solider that maybe fought..for this country.
I would try maybe breaking up the text? It would help develop a reading flow and with your punctuation you can decide how you would like for the pace of the poem to be.

Keep Inspiring,

Mack L.
