Lost At Land

Lost At Land

A Chapter by Following Ferns

A building of bricks.
Green tiles and walls.
And endless mazed hallway set far in the stars.
He followed me and I lost him
In and out of those doors.
Frightened I ran out,
And was lost once more.

But why all the running?
Where was the sky?
Above the yellow ceiling
Was a barrier of lies.

Hiding me from finding you.
Stopping me from knowing the truth.
Where the others began to move
Away from the building out in the blue.

Sky settles in.
I run once again.
I crashed into you waiting
My lost, lying friend.

Now its all different.
The dome of distrust
Cracks into pieces
so high above us

Then I saw in your eyes
What was hidden before
A green sea of freedom
Across a sparkling shore.
