Vivaldi and the WerewolfA Story by Aliasxyn13A mash-up of Classic and Horror that shows Vivaldi teaching young woman to not only play musical instruments, but how to fight werewolves.Towards the the beginning of the 1700's, werewolves are running rampant through Europe. Antonio Vivaldi, now an ordained priest and accomplished musician, hunts these creature by night, but soon finds he's in a losing battle. He then endeavors something bold, insane and unconventional: to teach women to play music as well, if not better, than men, but also to hunt werewolves. Setting up concerts throughout Europe around the full moon as cover for the hunts, the nocturnal war slowly starts turning in their favor. But like Lincoln, history will only know a fraction of the truth of Vivaldi. Why would this Work in a mash up of Literature Fiction? Vivaldi made a bet that he could teach women to play musical instruments. Since women at the time were considered inferior and less intelligent than men, it would stand to reason that if Vivaldi could achieve this, he would have an advantage against werewolves. So he got employed at an orphanage and began training the girls there until they reached the age of 15. The less talented would leave while the talented and clever would stay as part of the orphanages orchestra and choir. At this point, Vivaldi would start secretly training them to find and combat werewolves using silver laden weapons. Women, in this reality, have the ability to sense werewolves; an advantage men seem to lack. Because of their gender role at the time, no one, not even a werewolf, would have suspected a woman to be a hunter. And due to their attire, they are able to conceal a silver laden weapon more effectively. Because Vivaldi trained the more musically tuned girls to hunt, they demonstrate a higher level of thinking, allowing them to more effectively learn and gather information on their tours in the werewolf problem areas. It could stand to reason that Vivaldi, being a musical genius, may know certain chords or intervals to calm the werewolf to either dispatch the creature or revert back to human form temporarily. © 2015 Aliasxyn13Author's Note
