C.N.M.

A Poem by C.N.Moore

Its been many long years since you were taken away,

I'd sooner take your place if it meant you could stay.

Not an hour goes by that you're not on my mind,

when I miss you the most and can't seem to find,

the strength to smile or to stop these tears,

I grab that guitar that has battled my fears.

Whenever I hold it I feel your gentle breath,

that passion you lived by warm on my neck.

I remember when you called to tell me the news,

you had bought this awesome guitar.. black as a bruise!

I remember the day we all said our goodbye,

I was given this symbol of your beautiful life.

There's so much that's happened since we last spoke,

I've experienced great triumph and even been broke.

I've lived as good a man as can be,

I hope that you're smiling.. so proud of me.

Until we meet again I will say,

I love you more with each passing day.

Your energy lives on so strong in me,

now forever in word will your memory be.
