A Road Trip to Impossible

A Road Trip to Impossible

A Poem by MaybeDreams37
"

One of my first poems written in a contemporary college class. The prompt was simply to write off of the line "So what should we do about this angel"

"
So what should we do about this angel
fallen from grace?
He's got a Harley and hair comb for worship
a road map and mirror for faith.

What can I say to this angel
fallen from beauty and grace?
He's got his buddies and whiskey for comfort
a wrist watch and checkbook for faith.

I'd like to be like that angel
fallen from glory and grace
but I've got gospel and Father to guide me
so I'll never stray from this place.

If I could be more like that angel,
maybe I'd find a little faith
in something stronger than words and wishes
and maybe I could get out of this place.
