No Mouth to SpeakA Story by Spencer Barker
1/4 of the story
Our character stands on the steps of the newly formed building. Don't worry, this building doesn't allow its visitors to pain themselves by walking up the stairs into the magnificent hall itself, but rather taking them into it by its rails. Our character, lets call him Henry for safety, looks at the rolling rails into the building. His lips curl into a snarl; why does the building do this? Doesn't it know we need to walk and talk and live! He quickly thought up a different thought as a worker came strolling out from the dark depths of the columns searching for Henry's thought. Let me tell you something in safety: don't you worry. No one is watching you for you are lucky, you can live and think, and breath in the knowledge available to you as much as you want or as little as you care. Our character, Henry, is not as lucky however. In Henry's time, the words you speak, the breaths you take, the things you see, and the thoughts you think are analyzed by the building; the one I mentioned to you early, the one that takes its guests in, most conveniently.
