Lightning

Lightning

A Poem by Spencer Barker

Cracks of lightning,
the skeletal reigning from the sky.
Leaves speckle the path,
never from which it hath.
Light licks in all corners cursing what it can touch.
The bark of trees,
in breaking which comes.
