Somnolence

Somnolence

A Poem by Alicante lullaby

Night is Yvette's dress

unstitched

your legs can hug their bareness

peeking out of the low cuts

Stars with their silver smiles annihilate me

and frost thickens on every pane

A blurry white taste

Its the third night,Morpheus

I have saved myself, saved my eyes from your scrutiny.

the imagery is enchanting... "night is Yvette's dress unstitched"
the reference to Morpheus... dreams and reality collide.

very nice!! I love the title - and the imagery is very powerful - the stars with silver smiles and frosted panes!!! I like!

its a dose of morphine... sleepless or dreamless... i dont know... yet consumed by something so unassumed... yet i feel morpheus is the savior ....for most of our souls...
your words weave magic...

the moon is full, my mouth is dry, the comforter is too heavy to be comfortable, sleep won't fall from the sky, there is no rest or relief, I felt all this from your words
