Ticking

Ticking

A Poem by Sam.

The Earth is a giant clock,
Ticking and ticking, without a stop,
Ticking and ticking, around and around,
Ticking, because we are death bound.

Author's Note

Sam.
I wrote this during a standardized test, and I haven't been on here for awhile, so I figured I'd put it up and get some feed back.

This poem has a great concept behind it, but it could have better flow. To show what I mean by flow, I have written this tiny gift song-poem for you which you may keep as your own. It’s in 1/0/1/0/1/0/1 meter where 1 = an accent; 0 = a non-accent: Sing along:

The Path

Spinning, spinning, round and round
ticking, ticking like a clock,
Gaea holds us as we’re bound
to a path that Death shall mock.
