Last AutumnA Poem by S4MFrostDone as a school assignment.
You can see all the leaves from last autumn around
Wrinkled and dying, laid flat on the ground The life is now fading from each withered face But they hold on tight as they cling to this place The leaves from last autumn have something to say They tell us a story from back in their day The tree was much younger and shorter back then They knew they would fall but they didn't know when The leaves from last autumn are mostly ignored The green leaves, still youthful, are restless and bored The imminent winter is coming on fast For the leaves from last autumn, it will be their last The leaves from last autumn that fell from their trees Wrinkled and dead, they were caught by the breeze We call out to them but they're too far away And I can't help but think that we'll see them someday I can't help but think that we'll be them someday
