Are you Human?

Are you Human?

A Poem by Santiago Veracruz

Are you human?
Do you feel?
Can you see?
Will you heal?
If I drink
from you pond
Will you shudder?
Will you respond?
The stiff and still
The wild and wet
Your sour aroma
the soot and sweat
I breach the threshold
the sweet embrace
The nectars flow
through time and space
The slim slender limbs
The small tender face
Everything as it should be
Everything in place
Are you human?
Do you love?
Will you have me?
I am enough?
