Angel

Angel

A Poem by S.G.P.

Silk wings.

Each feather a sultry ebony black.

Eyes that can burn into my soul.

Arms like a vise steel cage, warm and inviting to the touch.

A laugh that brings a smile to my face,

With a smile that steals my breath.

A voice to beautiful to describe,

With words that make me melt.

Everyday this is how I see you

But like an angel you can never love and never be held.

Your misery is evident in your eyes

And your pain is your personal agony.

To be loved and wanted by so many.

Prayers that you hear of undying love

And promises that are said to never be broken.

I will make no promises and I will not pray.

I rather show how much you mean to me.
