Chapter Twenty

Chapter Twenty

A Chapter by Zack Black

Shelly,Emily,Garret,Lucas,Amanda,Elder Sarah,Sabri,Aldemar, Elijah, and the Black Widow all in one room. Interests are indeed divided. For the worse of situations.

“Well don’t we have a full house now?” says Elder Sarah.

“Mom?” asks Shelly, seeing Sabri using her mother’s body as a vessel.

“Oh that’s right, this belongs to someone you love.” says Sabri.

“Who are you?” asks Shelly, trying to fight tears.

“Shelly, this is my brother Sabri. An evil force using your mother as a vessel.” says Aldemar.

“You b*****d!” yells Shelly trying to run after him, Garret holding her back.

“Shelly be calm. It isn’t you he wants. He wants his own body.” says the Widow.

Suddenly the door swings open and everyone turns their attention to the God of Hell, Nathan, strutting in the door. Blood on his jacket, and evil in his eyes.

“Sorry, should I have knocked?” asks Nathan with his sarcastic tone.

“Looks like the gangs all here now.” continues Nathan.

“Guards.” says Elder Sarah, referring to her two guards who stayed back with her.

“Escort, Mr. Nathan out of the room until we are ready for him.” continues the Elder.

“Don’t touch me.” says Nathan to a guard.

The guard reaches for Nathan’s arm, and Nathan grabs his arm first. He looks at him with a sinister stare, and Nathan turns his eyes black. The arm that Nathan isn’t touching starts spinning in a windmill motion. Not bending, just continuously coming out of the socket. Then finally his arm falls off. Nothing but the end of a bone remains to where his shoulder was. His arm now sits on the ground. The guard cries and screams in pain.

“Shutup.” says Nathan as the man drops to the ground and begins to bleed out, ultimately to his death. The other guard stares at Nathan in shock and awe of his power. The guard starts to grab his sword.

“Wouldn’t it be a shame if your hand, just broke?” asks Nathan with a smile. Just as the guard grabs the end of his sword his hand snaps out of socket. He screams and rivets from the pain of his broken hand.

“Nathan stop!” yells the Elder.

“Or what?” asks Nathan.

“Or else, you’ll deal with me.” says Aldemar.

“An old man wants to play ball with the Lord of Hell himself. Such a fool could only be Aldemar. How nice to finally meet you.” says Nathan with a cackle.

“Wish I could say the same Nathan.” says Aldemar.

“I have a couple requests, and a few demands.” says Nathan.

“Who do you think you are coming in here and making demands.” says the Elder standing from her throne.

“I demand, that the Widow comes with me.” says Nathan, pointing to the Widow.

“I demand, that you and the Pagan world claim allegiance to Hell.” continues Nathan.

“And if I don’t agree?” asks Elder Sarah.

“Than I will call war onto the Pagan world. Do you really want ten thousand Demons in your Capital in two days?” asks Nathan, knowing he has the Elder cornered.

“Sabri do I still have your support?” asks the Elder.

“You have my support as well as the military expertise of Snake. As long as you hold up your end of our deal.” says Sabri.

“Of course someone like Sabri would make his own deal. I just didn’t expect him in the body of a woman like a coward.” says Nathan.

“The nerve to call me a coward?” says Sabri getting in Nathan’s face.

“Now is our chance.” whispers Emily.

“Go for it.” whispers Shelly.

“Spout thy evil from the body. Save the bones of mortal from the spirit within.” says Emily taking a bottle from her bag and taking off the cork.

“Who said that?” says Sabri turning his attention to Emily.

“Remove the spirit from the unwilling!” yells Emily.

When Emily finishes saying that, Marsha’s head starts to twitch, trying to release the evil spirit of Sabri. The spirit’s mouth opens and a green mist starts to be regurgitated from the body of the only mortal Marsha. The green mist swirls in the air making a cloud, Emily keeps chanting, and finally the mist goes into the bottle and Emily caps it. The room is silent. You can hear Emily breathing heavily. She can feel the intense stares of everyone in the room. One of the most underestimated powers of a Genie, is the ability to remove spirits from a vessel. Most Genie’s live their whole life without using it. Shelly runs to Marsha and drops to her knees and pick her head up.

“Are you there mom?” asks Shelly looking into her lifeless eyes and bruised body. Her arms the color of turnips. She shakes her mom hoping to bring her back to life.

“Come on mom, don’t do this to me!” yells Shelly falling into tears.

“What a tragedy. The widow of an Angel, killed by a spirit she had nothing to do with.” says Nathan with a smile.

“Shelly wait.” says the Widow checking Marsha’s wrist for a pulse.

“I can save her.” continues the Widow grabbing Shelly’s hand.

“Finally, I get to see the Widow’s powers at work.” says Nathan with a sadistic smile.
