The World TreeA Poem by RyzenA guide on how to be human, and what makes it different.
Though undoubtedly different from the other inhabitants we reign above, this is the human condition. Not Exceedingly strong we have placed ourselves at the apex, Not the most resourceful we have established our intelligence through refinement and repeated effort, And though weakened by the burden of impulse and hierarchy of foolishness we have no competition against us to the extend of expectancy.
Inquire simply into the distinction, the human condition. Is this presence of muddled chemistry a bi-product of successful evolution, or is it in this that we have stagnated our advancement letting the weak live on in excess? In its simplistic form we display an aspect of empathy for things seemingly unrelated to ourselves, where a bird simply watches the gazelles hunted before it we are moved to a sense of unfairness in the slaughter of that which has no effect on our singularity. Yet we define those without such needless sympathy as broken categorizing them as a failing human being, where they simply fail to understand the point of the altruistic ideal. Thus to be said to be a human is to value your own species as lower then another. As in this day and age we ask others to save the trees and environment more than ourselves.
