![]() The Last SongA Poem by Ryzek The Shadow![]() When speech fails to express the truth of one's personal choice. Inspired by the song "Black Is The Soul" by Korn.![]() At age, the wandering eyes have seen clarity As Shadows of Blind reveal vision Driving its soul to the edge of Insanity Why have I awakened to this severe division?
A chorus of my voices come from Nothing Crying out as a screaming banshee Its sound pierces my head, abating My pride to a pulp, wreaking me
Saying: “Why? Why? Why?” Eternal incarceration is nigh! Hiding truth under lie, Avoiding Architects’ disappointing sigh
Time rides as my curious mind explores The new awakened world, questioning the old Hallow words no longer seem to soar Did my living soul just got sold?
Clone war, two sides fight for possession; The search over the trail to a life, And the tallest mountain for an expression Even, though, I will encounter strife
Asking: “Why? Why? Why?” My Architects, here is the smiling mask In the plain blue sky I wanted to gift you a shining flask However, guilt forms within my disguise My desire filled with flies and disgust Not against the Architects, but against ties I formed; My own choices create mistrust
To the court of the heavens, I come forth And I claim, my Architects, the Fourth Allow me to present my lost heart And paint you, in red, a piece of art I sought happiness for your soul While abandoning my own sanity Pushing it away, down to a hole Lost forever, losing its vanity
My truest desire is to restore myself To my own accord, knowing my journey is long Written book up to the right shelf To you, my Architects, I present the last song © 2018 Ryzek The ShadowAuthor's Note
