Religion

I have long since chosen
To leave my mother's path behind
To die in the snow, forgotten and frozen
For something less refined

Finger to finger, my deity and I
No structure or middle man between
But I left with a lonely sigh
To this place perfect and pristine.

For alone with my deity I am still alone
Feeling distant, withdrawn and odd
I embrace this beloved unknown
Though my heart yet yearns for god.

I can understand why you won first prize 3x, why the tittle Religion, Faith in God can be separeted from religion, may even be stronger (my opinion of course} Thank you for sharing. God Bless
