Blood Red Riding HoodA Chapter by Ryosei Takashi HimeI don't think this one flows very well and the ending is pretty..blah. Loved making Red Riding Hood psychotic though. X3
Too tired to think she let the girl lead. Their destination she did not know. To a cottage in the wood they did proceed, Alice's feet heavy and slow.
She barred the door and locked it tight In hopes the witch it would hold. She turned to see a lantern bright Held by a woman from times of old.
The child did run to clasp her hand. The woman beckoned her follow. Cautiously Alice did stand, Her eyes fearful and hollow.
Down a dark hall, through a trap door, Below the cottage they did descend. Alice's heart swollen and sore. An unseen injury that would not mend.
In the darkness she thought she did see A familiar grin upon a face so cold. And for a moment her mind was free, A vision of blood she did behold.
The vision she quickly dismissed. Her mind distant and withdrawn. Though the smell of gore did persist The face from the shadows had gone.
From a pocket a key was produced And into a new room they did go. Alice's fear was not reduced As a moan echoed sad and low.
A gasp escaped her pale, trembling lips At the sight of her vision turned real. Her heart the fear did eclipse. She felt her mind stagger and reel.
A room of horrors before her stood, Corpses hanging upon blood-stained walls. She could not run though she knew she should. She screamed but none would hear her calls.
The old hag took hold of an ankle white as snow And pulled a small man, half rabbit it seemed, Towards the red clad girl as his squeals did grow. A more horrible sound she could never have dreamed.
The girl's tiny mouth stretched from cheek to cheek. Razor sharp teeth lined her gums from length to length. The door slammed behind Alice at his last shriek. She turned from the sight and pulled with all her strength.
It would not budge for she'd become too frail. This time she knew she would certainly die. The woman's fingers clenched about her arm so pale. Towards the bloody child she was drawn with a cry.
But to her rescue an old friend did come. The Cheshire Cat appeared before her eyes. To the sight of his grin the child did succumb. The two withdrew in fear of their own demise.
Laughter echoed as they cowered in his shadow. The door swung open to set her free. She did not glance back, her feet did not slow. Her only thought now was to flee. © 2008 Ryosei Takashi Hime |
