I slept endlessly
awaiting day
not much to say
awkward glances
sly smiles
asleep all awhile

I slept endlessly
awaken with dawn
dreams long gone
remnants of yesterday
my thoughts of you make it this way
visions in vain
opportunity passes away

I slept endlessly
words escape
beyond what I could give
soul soaked in paper
deliverance by pen
