Tangible

Tangible

A Poem by Kyle Francisco

I grow colder
every line bolder
words wrapped in fire
telling of my desire
thoughts pelting
visage melting
what lingers here
hidden in stare
intoxicating
what I've been saving
paper and pen my haven
clues so blatant
all in my head
wish it were dead
here I am instead
so quiet
I live by it
though it my enemy
it's what I aim to be...

i love how the ending is so like, internal, as in your worst enemy is yourself. like me. i like the imagery and the way my head bounces around the words and i can almost taste them.
