Autumn Leaves

Autumn Leaves

A Poem by Rylie Grace Vittwin

In golden hues, the autumn leaves descend,

Whispering tales, a story to bestow.

A symphony of rust, the trees do bend,

As breezes dance, their secrets softly flow.

The air, a canvas painted by the bold,

Each leaf a stroke, a fleeting, graceful flight.

The amber, scarlet, ochre, and the gold,

Create a montage, a sight to delight.

Yet, in the beauty lies a quiet ache,

For autumn's kiss, a promise it must bear.

The wind, a mourner, sighs; it’s limbs do shake,

As nature weaves a cloak of deep despair.

So cherish now, the moment that’s gifted,

For autumn's love is brief, its winds have lifted.
