In Betweens

In Betweens

A Poem by Rylie Grace Vittwin

Black and white

is all I see,

But you look pretty

gray to me.

Stop and go

is all you do,

But you still have a

yellow hue.

Cruel kindness,

what should I think?

Confusion brings me

to the brink,

How can I

know what you mean?

When all i see is

in betweens.

But so I shall try,

to put into words,

the things you deny:

You are a gentle touch

that leaves me torn.

You are constant change, a

paradox born.

You are back and forth, an

endless circle.

You are a reminder-

we are mortal.
