I let go
A Poem by Rylie
I can love whoever I want....but it's pointless if they don't feel the same about me.
I was living in my own little world, Just trying to keep things right, Then the tears started to fall, I wasn't going to fight.
She had already won, She had his heart trapped, He didn't see how much it hurt me, When he let go.
I just wanted him to be happy, I didn't know it would hurt so bad. I let him go and now, I'm miserable and oh so sad.
He still walks with me, He still talks with me, He still cries on my shoulder. But I watch him walk her way, Each and every day.

Your poem simply described the sad nature of unrequited love. I loved it. Simple yet beautiful. Keep on writing! :)
