When I saw you die

When I saw you die

A Poem by Rylan_l
"

Hmm... just a poem I found that I wrote last month. Thought I would share it, though it is a little rough.

"

When I saw you die

I saw you there,

it was all still, like new,

but your still was the care,

the reason the day was gray, not blue.

Oh how we hide!

from these things so hard to see.

The words we cried,

heard, yet, only when you were before me.

This is when I saw you die;

Death only present in the moment without escape.

silently, we are all forced to cry,

all my walls and all by barriers agape.

You were dead, rather your carcass…

how can we leave so fast?

I am scared of the darkest!

Surely, we will all be surpassed.

So see it! See it now!

Seethe in light of cessation,

know life’s something to be taken; to allow.

Marvel, at this short chance of creation!

For on that day,

when I first met the black bird,

to me it did say:

“Death is a shadow; don’t live unheard”.
