African American and Girlfriend walk into kaffe Bona (my place of work): Guy: "dang your prices are so expensive...you do this to all Black people?" Me: "We do it to everyone." Guy: "Would you give me a discount if I was Japanese?" Me: "Your Japanese?" Guy: "Yeah the type that would kill or hurt someone that doesn't give discounts." -gives me a serious look and cracks his knuckles- Me: "are you trying to intimidate me into giving you a lower price?" Guy: -looks angry- Me: "Alright as much as i'd love to keep this conversation going and learn more about your Blackanese roots, there are people behind you in a line...so are you going to order something or get out of the way, last samurai?" -girlfriend smiles- Guy: "i'll have four pretzel sticks..."
I like the story. If you can't afford the price. Don't go inside the store or coffee shop. I meet my share of people who want everything for free. Drive me nuts. I like the last lines. I wish I could say them myself. A outstanding poem.
