Rules change`

Rules change`

A Poem by soccerkeeper123

as kids we were taught to not stand up for ourselves
because it was talking back

as an adult
if you dont stand up for yourself
youre a push over

As kids whenever a boy would hit us
or pull our hair
people would gush about how he liked you

As an adult if he kits you or pulls your hair|
Thats abuse or assult

As kids we were told that he could
do whatever we wanted when we grew up
We could be whatever we wanted

As an adult we realize that you have to work for what you want
That you cant just wish upon a star
And your wish will come true

As kids we were taught that

We shouldn't speak up
No keep your head down and your mouth shut

We should just take the abuse
No one cares about it anyways
He just likes you

You dont need to work for what you want
Just dream about it

I guess
Rules change
