The Water Beats

The Water Beats

A Poem by Thomas Ryan

The water beats softly against the sand.

Washing away the footprints of man

It's a gentle reminder of nature's might.

A force that's constant, day and night.

It ebbs and flows, it rises and falls.

It's a symphony of sound that enthrals.

The water beats, a rhythm divine

A song that's ancient, yet so fine.

It whispers secrets, it says no lies.

It's a mirror of the earth and skies.

The water beats, a timeless friend

A source of life that never ends.

So let us cherish this gift of grace

And keep our oceans a sacred place.

For the water beats, a heart so pure

A heart that's steadfast, a heart so sure.
