A Better Me

A Better Me

A Poem by Thomas Ryan

I look in the mirror and what do I see?

A better version of myself staring back at me.

I've come so far, I've grown so much,

And I'm proud of the person I've become as such.

I've learned to love myself, flaws, and all,

And to pick myself up whenever I fall.

I've learned to be kind, to give and forgive,

And to always find joy in the life I live.

I'm not perfect, but that's okay,

For I'm a better me each day.

So, here's to the journey, the ups and downs,

And to the better me that always abounds.

May I continue to grow, to learn, and to thrive,

And may I always keep my dreams alive.

For I am a tribute to a better me,

And that's something I'll always be proud to be.
