The Dancing House on a Christmas nightA Poem by Thomas RyanIn the town's
heart where lights adorn, Stands a house
that's not like the norm. A structure
whimsical, alive, and bright, A dancing dream
in the Christmas night. Its curves and
angles, a playful sight, Twirl and sway
in the soft moonlight. A waltz of
bricks, a tango of beams, A festive
spectacle, beyond all schemes. Windows wink
with a merry glee, Inviting in the
wintry spree. Adorned in
tinsel, ribbons, and lace, It wears the
season's warm embrace. The chimneys hum
with a joyful tune, As stars above
begin to swoon. Each room
within, a stage aglow, With laughter,
love, and cheer to bestow. From rooftop
high to the basement low, The Dancing
House, in festive show, Twirls to
carols, taps to the beat, A jubilant
rhythm in every street. Snowflakes whirl
in a merry trance, As the house
enchants in its joyful dance. It spins and
leaps with such finesse, A celebration
none can repress. At Christmas
time, this house so rare, Becomes a marvel
beyond compare. A testament to
joy and mirth, A whimsical
wonder of boundless worth. So, let's join
hands and gather nearby, To witness this
house that brings such cheer. In its graceful
moves, we find delight, The Dancing
House on a Christmas night. © 2024 Thomas Ryan |
