HindranceA Poem by EvilToast
Slowly I wake, the delightful dream fades softly away,
my heart begins to race, I enter into reality, my own little nightmare. These eyes dart back and forth desperately searching, my heart begins to race, arms trembling, legs grow heavy, my body fails me. A painting not bound by walls, my heart begins to race, full of glee a smile finds its place. The moment passes, every second treasured, my heart begins to race, nothing compared to the moment that kept it going. No longer drunk with hope, pain creeps up on me, my heart begins to race, everything now a blur, trash in comparison. Lost my way, I walk dazed my heart begins to race, knowing of what cannot be true, yet wishing yet again. I watch as my painting leaps off the canvas and into another's arms, my heart stops, Slowly my eyes close, in hopes of my dreams filling the void she has left me.
