A Poem by .

Eyes glazed over staring wildly towards the window,

The rain fell like the tears he had so recently shed,

His mind was filled of thoughts of only one thing, of only one person.

She was so close yet he knew he could never have her,

she was the thing that brought everything together and caused so much havok at the same time,

she was all he wanted.

His eyelids closed to see only an image of her so vividly in his mind,

they opened only to allow a single tear to run down his face thinking of nothing but the fear of how he could lose it all.

for that one aching wish....
there is an anguish that knows only limitless bounds
what a poetic outpouring of something otherwise would dwell in the depths of a heart
moving and evocative.

This is stunning, it says so much with such simplicity. I can feel the emotion and despair. One of my definite favorites.

Goosebumps. This poem is great. So honest and true and very powerful stuff. It flows beautifully aside from one tiny mistake: opend=opened. Other than that, this was great :)
