The Journey

The Journey

A Poem by R. W. Adams
"

How I see peace in death.

"
I gaze upon the starry sky
As the time starts to fade
The glowing moon it passes by
From night into the day

The moon so simple yet profound
While floating in the dark
It casts its glow upon the ground
As my journey embarks

I float above the ground so soft
Captured by the moons glow
It reels me in up into its loft
Of clouds that look like snow

I dance and play throughout night
My worries disappear
Above the world at this new height
My purpose seems so clear

My kin I know they will go far
I'll sit and watch amongst the stars
